Microsoft appears to be bringing tabs to the Notepad app on Windows 11

The era of tabbed Notepad has arrived! Microsoft recently announced that Windows 11 will feature tabbed Notepad, allowing users to open and manage multiple documents in the same window. This update is great news for productivity and organization, and a welcome addition to the already-robust Windows suite of tools. With tabs, users will be able to open multiple documents in the same window, making it easy to switch between them, copy and paste content, and compare documents side-by-side. A Microsoft employee recently made an accidental announcement that Notepad will be getting tabs in Windows 11. The tweet was quickly deleted, but not before Windows Central and other Windows enthusiast accounts noticed the mistake. It appears that the tabs feature is currently in early testing at Microsoft and may be made available to Windows Insiders sometime in early 2023. This update to Notepad is sure to make organizing and managing text documents much easier for users.
